Edit an Account


  • Click Chart of Accounts on the top menu bar.
  • Select Manage Accounts.
  • Select the account. Double-click the account to edit.

  • Edit the Description.
  • Click Save.

Advanced Options:

  • For Cash Accounts, you will see the following Advanced Options dialog box.
  • View or Edit the details and options of the cash account.
  • If applicable, place a checkmark in the Issue checks from another fund/checking account box.
    • Enter the General Ledger (GL) account number in the Checking Account field, and the “Due From” account number in the other fund. Press the question mark to browse for the account.
  • Click Browse to view the available check templates. Leave blank for default. Call MSI if you need help using up a different template.
  • Positive Pay file formats can be accessed using the drop-down menu if you are using positive pay.
  • When finished, click OK.
  • For accounts other than cash, the follow dialog box will appear.
  • Edit applicable options.
  • To use a specific cash-account for disbursements for this account, place a checkmark in the Use specific cash account when this account is on a disbursement box. Enter the cash-account or click the question mark to search for it.
  • Click Save.
